Targeted evaluation focusing on one specific area of concern
(if recommended by Dr. Reese)
Comprehensive neuropsychological assessment includes integrated assessments of intelligence, verbal and language skills, nonverbal and visuospatial skills, executive functioning, attention, and various cognitive domains as well as learning and academic skills, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Educational achievement assessment is included. Information is gathered through direct, standardized testing with the child, qualitative and clinical assessment with the child, as well as information gathered from parents, teachers, and certain providers such as therapists. Review of early birth, developmental, medical, and academic history are also included.
This includes an intake/initial interview with parents/caregivers, direct face-to-face (in-person) testing with me in the office (typically 1 day, about the length of a school day, dependent on individual factors), and a feedback session held virtually with parents/caregivers to discuss the results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations. After time scoring and interpreting the test data, the feedback session typically takes place within about 4 weeks after the in-person testing. A full written report outlining the results/findings, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations are then provided after the feedback session.
($4,000- $4,500 due on the day of the in-person evaluation)
Neurodevelopmental assessments for young children include integrated assessment of early cognitive (intellectual) skills, language/communication, early learning and executive functioning and attention, as well as assessment of social, emotional, and behavioral functioning (including direct assessment of social and play skills, if warranted).
This includes an intake/initial interview with parents/caregivers, direct face-to-face (in-person) testing with me in the office (typically a completed within 1-3 hours or one morning, dependent on individual factors), and collection of information from daycare/preschool providers and certain therapists (e.g., Early Intervention providers or speech therapists, etc.). Review of birth, developmental, medical, and academic history are also included. A feedback session with caregivers is held to discuss the findings, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations will take place (typically within 2 weeks of the in-person evaluation). In certain cases, feedback may be provided the same day as the evaluation without the need for a separate feedback appointment. A written report outlining the results/findings, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations are provided after the feedback takes place.
($2,600-3,500 due on the day of the in-person evaluation)
Consultation services may be recommended by Dr. Reese in certain cases (e.g., following an initial intake if a full comprehensive evaluation is not warranted), and in certain cases additional consultation services may be needed or requested by caregivers and are provided as needed. These include services such as:
(Consultations are billed at an hourly rate of $350 and are billed by 15-minute increments).
Stand-alone, standardized assessment of intelligence (IQ) and psychoeducational testing (IQ and academic achievement) with written reports provided within 2 days of the testing appointment.
($800- $1,200).
In certain cases, Dr. Reese may recommend a more targeted evaluation assessing one or two specific domains/areas of concern. These may include a targeted evaluation of attention or impulsivity (e.g., ADHD symptoms), academic progress monitoring (educational achievement), or emotional/psychological functioning for the purpose of diagnostic clarification or confirmation and/or to monitor response to treatment (e.g., through special education, tutoring services, or to measure progress in one area of skills compared to prior functioning). An initial intake/clinical interview, review of pertinent records and past evaluations and pertinent history as well as brief face-to-face (in-person) testing of specific skills are included, as well as a written report outlining the findings and recommendations are provided after a feedback session with parents/caregivers.
